Post So you guys may know the greatness that is me!

So I am new to the forums, I havent owned a handgun in quite sometime after I left the military and I have been bored lately so I got an itch. Before joining the military I had a Glock 19 so I thought I was going to get another Glock. So I read a few handgun forums, different reviews, then I set out to the local indoor range that just so happened to rent Glocks and XDs in search of this gun I had never shot before but held such acclaim. So I arrive, walk in and go to the case. There they are, side-by-side: THE GLOCKS AND THE XDS. Rays of pure energy rained down from the heavens and lit up this case like the fourth of July. My mission was clear: find my gun. So I walked to the salesman and told him I wanted to rent some guns. First the XD 40. Took it to the range and inspected it. So beautiful. So perfect. I had to adjust myself. It was heavenly. I awoke out of my blissful state and realized I had to exercise this beauty! I loaded her magazine to the brim. I slid that magazine so deep in the well it clicked in place with a furious snap! I could tell she was ready. She was so clean but I could tell inside she was a dirty girl. Now was the time. I took her right then and there. I raised her sights and gently squeezed her trigger. She erupted with a furious bang. It was powerful! It was bad. But so natural. It was wonderful. We did it over and over and over until we were both spent. So I gently pulled the spent magazine out of her and opened her slide to expose her empty caverns. Then I returned from my maniacal daydream and was ready to give the Glock a ride. This was an old friend and I was sure she would know how to please. So I took her out on the range and we went at it. One full box down. And she had lost that loving feeling, that Glock magic was gone. She hurt me. After I was done my hand was cramped. I knew we were friends no longer. So 2 days later I went to my local gun shop that I deal with and bought my XD 40 service. Now I just have to wait until Thursday to get my damn gun. Thanks Florida! I was kidding about the story guys hope yall got a good laugh!

Wet....

This being my first time in a LONG time I am sure you understand how exhausted I was afterwards so I had to just hand her back to the salesman and let him clean her up. You guys understand a man is only able to take so much!

Classic line! Welcome to the forum from GA. I would say enjoy your new gun but I think you've already peaked out on that.

Welcome to the forum from Central Missouri!

I do hope you used proper protection! After all, you really don't know who had been with the XD and Glock before you!

Cool, I live in OP as well. Lately I have been shooting over at the Gun Gallery on Beach. I am thinking about going over to Gateway here in the next week or so and checking it out.
