I am the same way. I shoot right handed but am left eye dominant. I cannot for the life of me shoot with both eyes open. The weird thing is that I shoot rifles left handed.

I am the same way. Left eye dominate but shoot right handed. I learned to shoot handguns as a kid, and my Dad never put any though into which eye of mine was dominate. He just told me to hold it in my right hand and shot strait. Over time I learned a technique that I still use today. I tilt my head slightly to the right, but then I use my right eyebrow to cover just the fright sight of the weapon from my right eye only.
Hold the weapon out and aim like you normally would. Slightly tilt your head to the right. Now don’t move anything but your right eyebrow to slightly come down so that your right eye can’t see the front sight. Keep both eyes open, but just use the muscles that you have to make facial expressions and bring your right eyebrow down. Now just focus on the front sight with your left eye and line it up with the target. This may be kind of funny, but I have no problem making this work. If your having trouble try keeping your arms out but tilting your head down farther. That may be easier to do the first time so that you can see what I’m talking about.
This is better than just closing your eye, because you still have some peripheral vision with your right eye.
I don’t know maybe I’m just crazy, but it works for me. If this doesn’t make sense, just me know and I’ll try to explain it a different way.

Exercise & strengthen your left arm and learn to shoot lefty. It'll take a while & some getting used to, but ultimately your shots WILL be better lefty.

Try this: Fill up a plastic 1 gallon milk container (the kind with the little loop handle thingie) and hold it (with your finger through the loop) almost like you're holding a gun. Stand up straight (good shooting stance) and do this exercise: Raise the jug up to your eye level (don't bend your neck) and pretend the cap is a set of sites. Hold it up there as still as you can for about 30 seconds, then lower it (don't put it down or rest it... just lower it) for about another 30 seconds, then do it all over, for about 15-20 minutes.

Do that simple exercise once a day for about 3 weeks, then go the range and watch how much your lefty shots have improved

Lemme know how this works out for ya
