New Mexico get-together

This is not a detailed range report, just lettin' ya'll know we had us some fun!
Had 8 guys down to the local range for some shoot 'em up comraderie. Most of them are members of The High Road, and a guest appearance from our own Mullanman. I gotta tell you, the Doc knows how to play! He brought his 3-gun setup, as well as a really sweet XD40 with mods done by Canyon Creek. That has to be the finest trigger I have ever felt on an XD. Doc let me fire his competition pistol, an STI Edge in 40S&W. Holy Carp, Batman! That is like nothing I have ever imagined! That thing is such a natural pointer that even I was picking off steel plates at will.
Even though it was 100 degrees, give or take a couple, we had a real blast (hehe). We had a fine assortment of playthings and everyone got a chance to try them out. I personally got to try out an M1 Garand, 8mm Mauser, a couple of AR15s, and numerous revolvers including a Colt King Cobra and a S&W 44spl.
I had a great time and I hope the others did as well. I really enjoyed meeting Mullanman ( he looks nothing like his avatar ).

Oh yeah, we had 160 acres of range all to ourselves. How cool is that!

Somewhere near Soccoro, 5 miles south town. I shoot in Las Cruces and El Paso on a regular basis.
