What a n00b!

Well, I shot my XD-9 Service for the first time ever. It was also my first time ever to a range. I have plinked with handguns in the past, but only a .22 and that was just shooting cans on a farm. I picked up the XD-9 for home defense and I definitely need to practice!

Here is my first target @ 7 yards...

Here is my second target @ 15 yards...

Definitely need practice, but I was happy with how I shot for the very first time. I feel a lot more comfortable with the gun now, and I know that helps a lot. Can't wait to get back out!

That's really not that bad at 21' and 45' for a noobie.

Buy some snap caps to do ball and dummy drills at the range and dry fire alot.

Not that bad, give yourself a break. Just lots of practice and proper technique will go a long way as well. Read about proper grip and trigger control.
