I know you wont believe me but I took my 4 inch XD45 out to shoot for the first time last week. I bought it last November and had not had a chance to shoot it yet. So I did finally. I was using 185 GR JHP. I was at first just shooting at 25 Yrds and then I set out to about 45 yrds. Then my Buddy told me to aim at a Gas Grill tank to see if my 45 could hit it. He then took out his laser range finder and said it was 101 yrds away. Not only did I hit it, but was able to hit it accurately at that distance. Now I am not a noob. I know there are some things I must take into account, First off I was elevated about 5 yrds above the target, also I know laser range finders are not exact either way I was really accurate out much farther than I thought I could ever be with a 45. As I am now delivering pizza for a second job, I am going to get my CCW and carry this exact weapon when I work. Please tell me what you think.

Carefull, most business frown on concealed carry, whether you have a permit or not. I understand the thought of protecting yourself, especially in a job role of pizza delivery b/c you will come in contact with the whole spectrum of savory/unsavory individuals.

Nice, I had the same results with my 4 inch .40. Now i wasnt that great. I only connected 8 out of 12 rounds. But all in all i hit the target with over 50% accuracy!
PS I like pizza!

While you do have to be careful as to what your employer thinks, I say concealed is concealed. And while there may be a chance of exposing on accident, I would wear it--you can never be too sure in this day and age...especially in that profession.

Just this Morning
just this morning on the news, A pizza driver was jumped last night and they did use a gun. Plus I also spoke to my manager and told him whether or not he liked it I was going to carry and he said he didnt blame me. That guy that got robbed was robbed in my delivery area and the Marine Corps didnt tech me to back down. Bubba hits what he is aiming at.

Concealed is concealed! Well, unless your biz is posted with a sign that can get you 6 months in jail! Here in Kansas we have Gunbuster signs for CC permit holders that we have to honor or we will be a convict.

I hit a torso sized metal tank at 100 yards with my Service XD45. I found the bullets afterwards too. I got 7 out of 13 too. The last 4 in a row.

Pizza men get jumped, kidnapped, robbed, assaulted all the time it seems like i see it happening increasingly. Dont tell the boss your carrying and you wont have to deal with him saying no or asking you not to because what he doesnt know wont hurt him and what the bad guys dont know WILL hurt them.

re:
In Abilene, TX a few years ago some teenagers called in a pizza order and had it delivered to an empty house. They attempted to rob the delivery guy and he in turn shot them. No charges were filed against the delivery guy he was well within his right to defend himself.
