Range Day

Well today i went to the range and i was trying new grips and styles of shooting ,,one was trigger finger postion on the trigger and i did not use the joint but the tip of my finger or the first part of the finger ,, well i got to say
it made my finger hurt after about 200 or so down the pipe and a total of 500
for for range time ,, now my ??? is is this why you get a trigger job because i could tell i was more faster and better control but it hurts so any sugestions
on what would be a nice set up for a good price
thanks guys

I think a sore trigger finger is just a part of shooting that you have to accept. Eventually you won't notice it anymore. It's the same reason why guitarists develop calluses on their fingertips when they first start playing.

I think the trigger safety adds to the pain a little, but that could just be me. You get used to it. For me it doesn't hurt. It just makes my fingertip go a little numb for a while, but not always.
