I have a 4" XD40. I have only had it for 2-3 day but have carried it pretty well concealed just tucked into the waist band of my jeans (Mexican Carry) and covered by a T-Shirt. So well infact I am looking into a Clipdraw type carry. WWW.ClipDraw.com

Also looking at a Maxpadition Versa Pack

I don't know your dimensions, but I have a skinnier waste and had some trouble concealing in warm weather with my XD40 service. No matter where I placed it, it seemed that I had trouble with the handle printing at the back of my shirt. If you are looking to conceal with it, I would recommend the 3". I haven't had any accuracy problems with it and it is a great sidearm.

I tried carrying my XD9 Service and it is too long. I carry an XD40 Subcompact comfortably. It's all about your body style and carry style.

hey jonny 4523 if you shoot your 3" at 25 yds what is the groop size? my emp is only good to about 15 yds then at 25 yds it hits the bottom of the papper on a 12" x 12" and only 2 bullet holes at that. If you can get a 40 to do better than that in a 3" I must be doing something wrong. My kimber puts all 8 rounds in a 3'' group a 25 yds it's a 4'' eclipse 2

I also foregot to ask you what is the kick diffrenc between the 40 in a 4" and 3"? is it that noticeable between the two and what do you guys use as far as ammo? I live in cinci. ohio and I can't find some of the good stuff to buy like the double tap ammo . I've asked around town and people look at me like I'm nut because they haven't heard of it and i like the balistics that they show for my emp
