First trip to the range with my new XD-9 Tactical

Went shooting tonight and put 200 rounds through it without any problems just as expected. The trigger pull is longer than I remember it being, so it's relatively smooth, so I'll get used to it or get a trigger job.

The target on the left is my first 20 rounds, the one on the right is my last 30, both at 7 yards.

That's what I did. I hate the pretravel. Makes me create bad habits.

Nice shooting.

nice job it looks like your ready if need be. What type of ammo did you shoot? From what i can see every thing I've heard about these guns are true I haven't shot one do to the fact that were I shot doesn't have one to rent and they say that peaple have had the slides brake on the left side of the ejection opening , but that comes from a diehard glock guy that only buy a glock and thats it.

the winner of the gun fight is the one that lives.

I shoot Blazer (aluminum case) since I got a good price on it: ~$6.70 a box shipped when I bought 60 boxes.

For my next trip, I hope to center my shots a little better, and do the same at 10 yards.

Oh yeah, and I want to do a smiley face on a silhouette, since I forgot to this time.

Nice shooting. I am waiting for my XD9 Tactical to get to my FFL and then it will be my turn to do some shooting.

Yes I am. Going to the range in a couple hours, so I should have some more (and hopefully better) targets.

Yeah, even though I've had my XD for quite some time now (about 3 years or so) I still hate that damn 6 pound trigger travel. I think I'm going to go talk to my gunsmith about a trigger job. I'm one of those guys who likes a SA trigger, even on a DA firearm.
