XD357 New Mods and Reloads,,,With Pics.

Just received my Springer Sear, Springs and Tapped Trigger Bar yesterday so I headed to the range today. I also had some new reloads I wanted to test. My XD is also equipped with a DGR and 22# spring.

All are 5 rounds at 10 yards.

This is Speer 125 GDHP with 12.0 grains H110 Powder.

Here is Speer 125 GDHP with 8.5 grains #5 Powder.

Last is Rainier 124 FP with 9.6 grains Blue Dot Powder.

Very happy with the Springer Sear Also the XD functioned flawlessly with all ammo and the DGR + 22# spring.

I haven't had to trim yet,,, but so far I'm still using once fired brass. All my once fired measured about .850-.855

Max is .865

Glad to hear everything went well! I'm also a .357sig addict and can't wait to start reloading. I just ordered a dillon 550b with conversion for the sig round and would like to try your recipe if you don't mind. Might I ask if there is anything different that you had to do compared to other rounds you reload? I guess the necked down case is what has me worried.

Thanks

Matt

No problem. I would do as much research as possible before starting. I myself am just a beginner so I'm still learning.

I'd keep that load with the Ranier bullets and the Blue Dot. That is one very good group.

Yes, I'm pretty happy with that load. I worked up 50 more for my next trip to the range. The very same Rainier's with 8.5g AA#5 showed horrible accuracy and some evidence of tumbling,,

Luv 357 SIG; Luv it more if it was cheaper to shoot. Got to get some reloading equipment.

How do you like the Rainier bullets? I tried them but when it came to seating them they were too soft for my taste. Did you experience this as well? (a soft plating)

I like them,, they are soft although they seem to seat just fine for me. I also use a mild crimp with a LEE FCD.
