Who Uses Paper Plates?

I used to use Shoot N C and paper targets but recently I have been using cheap paper plates and those sticker bulls eyes from Walmart.

This allows me to shoot mags with 5 rounds and know exactly what I hit without wasting targets or remembering where my holes are.

Of course this really only works on outdoor ranges with backstops.

I am now able to hit the stickers, which are 2" and 3", with 2 or 3 out of 5 rounds and the rest on the flat part of the paper plate from 50 feet.

I still use other targets when I am not throwin alot of lead downrange.

Good idea. I remember using paper plates with the pellet guns when I was a kid. I don't know why I haven't thought of using them now. Thanks for the reminder!

I use 8" paper plates often. I staple them to the back stop and use them like a plate rack. Set them up two feet a part and they are great for practicing target transitions.

I dont use em, but a few of the places that do The Concealed carry classes, use paper plates as a target for a live fire test.

We set them up staggared on the backstop and number them with a Sharpie. Number them out of order, then draw and see how fast you can aquire targets, and get a good hit. You'll be amazed at how hard it is to get them all. Set them up like 1,5, 3, 2,4 set up kinda like the dots on dice. Or however gives you the most trouble. If nothing else it makes for a fun time.

Talking I use paper plates, ON EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I do I keep the ranges close, not much over 100 yards! Of course I do have a Canyon Creek trigger job and a Dons Fat Rod purchased from Old School at pistogear.com, so that takes a bit of the challenge out of it!!!!!!!
on a serious note, I like using the brightly colored index cards as well, I think the smaller targets help me focus in a bit better!

I have been known to shoot at disposable dishes once in a while! I also like to shoot plastic spoons for some reason.

Ahhhh...the lowly paper plate...my target of choice. I also like the styrofoam ones for rifle targets. The clean holes are easy to see with even a low-powered scope at 100 and I can see them out at 400 yards with the Burris Black Diamond on my 308. (I could probably see them farther out, but I haven't shot paper beyond that distance.)

Another nice thing about paper plates is that you can draw creative and colored aiming points on them that can sometimes help with sight alignment.

Tried using a couple for the first time on Friday . . . much cheaper and just as practical than the B-34's I bought off ebay.
