Thumbs up Today at the range with my newly overhauled XD45 TAC

I only tried the 16# Spring center mass with the 185 GR. The stock 18# spring kept the recoil down better. Needless to say I might have to try the even heavier springs and see how those work. I have a 14# spring but I'm not going to use it, or even try it for that matter, unless I'm shooting even less that 185 GR. The minimum for Major is 165 I believe.

Very nice grouping!
Even enjoyed the WTF scribbles... lol
How many rounds did you shoot before getting the Trigger job and the new springs?
I want be be a better shooter first before making adjustments... but don't know where that cutoff might be..

Thanks.

Thanks. I shot only about 500 rds through this gun. It's still brand new basically. But I am already used to very light triggers, so the normal break in wasn't going to be enough to satisfy me. When it comes to the level of shooter you are to modify your gun? You don't have to be a pro, heck I need a heck of alot more improvement. And it depends on what you are going to use it for. This gun is going to strictly be a Limited gun in USPSA. There no way I will CC a 2.5# trigger. This thing suprises me every time, I love it. I guess my tip would be to master the basics of pistol marksmanship (meaning you know what you did wrong eveytime).
I just started shooting competition last year, but have been shooting my whole life. So keep shooting until your comfortable, and hurry up because Pistol Gear wants your money!! LOL
