My CCW class
Just finished the second half of my CCW class today (Ohio) with the range time. Ran 350 rounds thru my XD45 Service with nary a hitch. Had a GREAT instructor who eventually encouraged me to start doing double and triple taps. I'd never shot fast like that. Really interesting. I was actually quite surprised at how accurate they were at 21 ft.
So all I've got to do now is take my paperwork up to my local sherrif's dept and become legal. As an aside, a couple of guys in the class kinda scared me. Total lack of knowledge and no previous experience with any sort of firearm. Not the guy I want carrying next to me in line at the grocery store. But that's a whole other rant.

We had a lady in our ccw class who was a complete ding bat. When it came to range time she out shot us all except my wife.

Congrats on your CCW qualifier, you may want to wait until March 14th to apply, since the laws change and you can get a 5 year license after that date. Plus you can actually carry a holstered weapon in the car! WOO HOO!!!

Yeah, I'd thought about waiting, but now it's 4 years for $45, and it's going to be 5 years for $55. Still works out to about $10/year. So what if I have to renew a year earlier.
And what happens in 18 days will effect everyone equally. I want it NOW. Patience has never been one of my virtues.

Always a few people who scare the Sh!t out of you taking most firearm classes. Taking the USPSA safety course we had one lady who kept covering herself drawing and holstering. It got so bad I told the instructor to either move me, help her or pull her off the range.
