results from a new batch of 200gr RNL Bear Creek
Shot about 50 rounds of Bear Creek's new 200 gr RLN bullets. 1.270" OAL, 5.5 grains of Bullseye.
I was able to print a best group (3 rds) at 12.5 yrds of 1.25 inches. Will put up a pic later. Very accurate load. Probably could loaded less Bullseye, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't too light. At 25 yds, it was very consistant with steel plates. I did shoot at a 25 yard target, but at that distance I have a problem keeping the front site in the exact spot each pull. But I did manage about a 3 or 4 inch group of 5 shots. The 1911 Commander loved them too. It did a better job at 12.5 yards with a best group of about 1 1/16 " (3 shots) |

Well, it looks just like the 230 gr RNL, except it's a tiny bit shorter, and the bottom is kind hollowed out a tad. When you load them up, they look amazingly like 230 grainers.
If you love to shoot 200 gr loads, and have problems with the LSWC, this may be your answer. David |

I've used the Bear Creek 200 grain and 230 grain RNL bullets for some time now. What I like the best on these bullets is that they are moly coated and do not lead the barrel. In the 38/357 configuation I've loaded them to
well over 1300 FPs in 357 mag and have had no leading what so ever after shooting several hundred rounds. I use Red Dot in my loadings for the 45ACP. Even use the 225 grain bullet for CAS in 45 Colt and 38 special. Out of the rifle again, no leading. |
