600 rds in a week......
Well not even a week. I bought my XD on Saturday and already have put 6-100 rd. Walmart value packs through it. Not one jam or miss fire. I love this pistol, although not as fast as my 5.7 but the power behind the round is great.

For awhile in Oct I was shooting every other day and cleaning it on the off days.
Have noticed any improvement in the gun after the first 600 rounds?

I shot the first 100, then ajusted the sites. now from 25ft all the way back to around 25 meters this pistol is spot on. As far as shooting better after more rounds, I don't really know because I bet the tighter groups are due to me and the fact I'm a long gunner by trade and 600 rds through a pistol is alot of practice. This is the first pistol I've really fell in love with shooting, sure my 5.7 is fun but that more medium range and not so much fun up close. Hell I've had my 5.7 for close to a year and I've put more rds. through my XD in a week.

5.7 ammo > Well for the most part I get it from Gander Mountain for around 20-22 bucks per 50. I have only fired the ballistic tipped rds. about 3 months ago I bought a bin of british ammo 1200 rds. for $399. and have not really got out there. this weekend I'm doing a XD vs. 5.7 shoot.
The price is alittle steep because its a new rd., Gander Mountain only carries it because I requested some. Also you blow through the ammo very fast! With a 20 rd. mag and a very quick, low kick shot its hard not to rapid fire the 5.7

Well the 6.5 grendel is the best semi auto long gun I've ever fired! period! With the 120g Nosler Ballistic Tip rds I can easily reach out to 600 yards (max at our range) with a .25 MOA. I think if I had the 129g rds a 1000 yd shot would be childs play. Remember this is all I do for the Army is medium to long range shooting. I have shot over 15 of the world best and this AA 6.5 is the best. I stand by it so much that I've tried to talk the master of arms to get me one for deployment. and I'm using a US optics SN-3 SSDS scope, which I got off a Armor for $100 (its a $1500 scope).
