Quick question from a newbie
Hey there everyone!
I have been out of the shooting game for about three years now due to the death of a close friend, but am starting to get my intrest and enthusiasm back for the sport. I own numerous weapons, but am in the market for a new one. I have been really looking at the .40 XD Sub Compact. I was wondering if anyone can give me an objective opinion on it as far as accuracy, recoil, 9mm Vs. .40 set up, and the optional light. I like the option of the light but is there a holster that will accommodate it? Anyway, I thank you all in advance and look forward to learning more on the XD Talk site! -Chris |

Welcome to the forum.
As to the accuracy and recoil between the 9mm and 40. Accuracy is going to be better then what you can shoot. Both are very accurate. Recoil is very managable on both due to the XD ergonomic design / grip. You would be happy with either one. The 9mm will be cheaper to feed if that is a concern. Are you planning on carrying? I don't have a light for the rail. If I did have a light it would be for Home Defense use only so I wouldn't need a holster.
