WWB vs CCI Blazer 9mm 115grn
So the first time I went to the range and ever shot my gun I used CCI Blazer 115grn FMJ ammo. I dont know if it was the ammo or just me not shooting a 9mm handgun before but I felt the recoil was harsh and my accuracy was not what I expected, granted this was my first time shooting.
Today my brother and I went to the range. I wasnt able to order CCI in time so I brought ammo at the range and they were out of CCI so I picked up Winchester White Box aka WWB in 115grn JHP. I paid something like $8.xx but thats besides the point. Not I dont know if its because I'm starting to get used to the weapon but I really had a good time out today. I didnt much better on hitting where I was aiming. I felt like the recoil wasnt as bad as before. I'm thinking of using WWB instead of CCI from now on. Has others had similiar experience? I mean both ammos are 115grn so I dont think that a change in recoil would be noticeable but I could be wrong.

It has been my experience that WWB is loaded very light. I do not like aluminum CCI in my XD. About every 15 rounds or so one will bounce off my head. However, their brass version is much better. If you want to shoot WWB go to walmart(12.00/100).

Hmm..
My buddy and I have found the opposite. But this was with blazer brass. The wwb 115gr felt hotter than the blazer brass. A little stiffer recoil. It was nothing major but we both noticed it. Both pistols are xd9 services. |

I have shot remington umc, WWB, CCI Blazer, Independence, CCI Blazer Brass and Remington Golden sabres out of my XD. I Found that with all of these, with the exception of the Golden Sabre's, to feel the same. Accuracy was a different story. The CCI Blazer Brass came in first and WWB (worst ammo ever in my gun) was all over the place. I couldn't hit jack with WWB. CCI Blazer Brass on the other hand had most of the rounds touching just right of the 10. WWB also would not eject from my xd and is dirtier than the floor behind the toilet.
