Took my new XD to the range today.
I ran two boxes of 230gr FMJ through it with no malfs, and I later
cleaned and inspected it. No unusual wear spots or shavings anywhere.
Takedown was refreshingly easy and she cleaned up nice.
Next time, I'll have to bring an assortment of hollowpoints to see what she likes most.
I brought my wife, and she popped off a few through my old Ruger P95, didn't like it much. I rented a Taurus 7-shot revolver and she loved it.
Go figure... but to be fair, I knocked out a cylinder and remembered how much I liked my old one.
Then, we borrowed a Beretta Storm to use up the rest of our 9mm ammo. She really loved that. So did I. So did the two deputies next to us, and they just *had* to give 'er a go.
A good afternoon at the range, methinks.

I and my daughter really enjoy the PX4. I read somebody has 15K through one with no hiccups. I still need an XD of some sort though.
