XD45ACP vs XD9

SA Law Enforcement Division sent my PD an XD45ACP for testing, and here's the results:
Our Cops are favorably impressed with the ergonometrics and soft recoil. I wanted to compare the XD45 with my duty gun, an XD9mm. I would fire five shots with one gun then quickly switch to the other gun and fire five shots to compare recoil. The recoil of the XD45 is only SLIGHTLY more than the XD9. Amazing!
FYI I fired a XD45GAP a month ago. The XD45ACP's recoil is softer and gentler than the XD45GAP. I think that's because the XD45ACP is bigger and heavier, while the XD45GAP is similar in size to the XD9.
Will I switch duty guns? No, I like the light weight of the XD9 which causes less fatigue and back problems while on duty.
Conclusion = try an XD45ACP, you'll like it!

Good report. How do you like the power level of the 9mm. And what type of ammo do you use in it. i just got the XD9Sc and cant wait to try it out. Have a great day.

Our Pd uses 124 Speer Gold Dot. Last year the batch was +P, this year it's not, just regular non +P. All our shootings w/ the 9mm resulted in Cops Win, Suspects Lose.
Levity aside, shot placement mo betta than size of bullet. 9mm is more controllable than 45ACP. To show you my confidence in 9mm, I switched from a 1911 45ACP to my XD9.
