First trip with XD-9 Bi-Tone Service

I just picked this gun up today. I found it used at a local gun shop for $400. It is the 2006 complete package. The shop said it had only had 75 rounds fired through it. It really looked like it. There was very minimal wear on the end of the barrel and the breach. There is more now...lol.

Well, I put 600 rounds of WWB and 50 rounds of CCI Brass through it today. I first cleaned it really well before hitting the range, then fired it all day without any cleaning in between. No problems at all. Mags really easy to load. No FTF/FTL/FTE. Perfect.

One thing I noticed was the recoil seemed a little snappier than the Glock 17 I shot today as well. Not as bad as my friends Glock 23 (40 cal). That was a little firmer.

My only complaint is that where the grip is cut for the grip safety, the edges are slightly sharp. Puts a little wear on the web of your hand. As we speak I am trimming with an x-acto knife and a little 400 grit sandpaper.

Overall, I am very pleased. Best $400 ever spent!

Congrats and welcome. I'm picking up my bi-tone 9 tomorrow. This one has a CC trigger job. Can't wait to try it out.

Congrats,

Where in Albuquerque do you shoot. I to live in Albuquerque and am fairly new to the Gun scene. It just seems like $17 bucks at Caliber's is a bit pricey.
