XD-9 Shot for the first time

Hey guys,

I have been looking around for an IDPA gun that is very reliable, accurate, and cheap. And i had had alot of people recomend to me the XD. So I went Down to the local gun shop and Picked up a brand new XD-9 and it was love at first site. So i got gramps to get it for me then and there. Went to the range the same day and shot about 150 rounds through it. It was awesome with the 16 round mags i shot groups the size of my fist at 25 feet with no problems or jams! The gun was great. Better than just about any other pistol i own or have ever shot! Look guys i am only 14 about to turn 15 in 2 months and have only been in the sport for 2 years but know alot about guns and what i am talking about. This gun i would recomend to anyone and after me and my gramps shooting it, his is on the way on order. So basically this gun is great and also on the low end price range! I will be shooting in my first tourney with it on the 20th and then another on the 22nd. O yeah after about 2 16 round mags 1 after another the barrel seemed to get real hot, Do u think when this happens it is ok to keep shooting or to let it cool down? Give me feedback on this post guys it would be much appreciated and tell me if u agree with what i said!

Blake.

Glad to hear you like the new XD. I don't think you will have problems feeding much of anything with that gun. I also wouldn't worry about the barrel overheating with that quantity of ammo going through it. If you fired off a dozen mags in less than a minute, it might be worth considering otherwise, just have fun.
