45ACP Tactical report
Broke her in this morning at the local outdoor range. It was a nice morning to shoot.
Ammo: 200 rounds of WWB, 100 rounds of locally reloaded ammo (230gr) Function: Flawless. All 300 went through without any problems. That's expected of any XD. Recoil: A bit more stout that I had anticipated. The recoil is manageable though. It's nothing major or something to complain about. It's just something I observed. Accuracy: Better than I can do. I let a few people try it out. Groupings are nice and tight. I definitely have to send it off to Canyon-Creek. Remembering how my XD-9 trigger felt out of the box, the XD45 seems a bit heavier. Maybe high 5# range, close to 6.. The sights are pretty much dead on. Overall: Probably the best XD made to date. <--- My opinion of course. :P I'll update the post once I break 500 and 1000. |

Sounds like a great start. That's what we like to hear.

Shot about 350 rounds through the gun today. No hiccups to report. Accuracy is great as can be. This gun has really loosened up since I bought it. I LOVE THIS GUN!
200 rounds of Blazer Aluminum 100 rounds of WWB 50 rounds of Magtech Total through the gun to date: 650 |

I was able to hold slightly tighter groups with the Tac and I was faster on target for follow up shots with the Tac. I don't think I could tell any difference in percieved recoil.

I couldn't tell the difference in recoil. If there was a difference it was very little. A 45ACP Service owner said he could definitely feel the difference.
