The One Eyed Report

Well I got out today to shoot my new XD Tactical 45. Winds were 15 to 25 mph. My new friend Heisman showed up with his Service 45. The Tac5 shot really well as did Heisman's Service 45. I did manage one stovepipe. I put a round in the chamber and then removed the mag. When I shot that round a stovepipe occurred. I shot WWB round nose, Remington round nose and WWB HP PP ammo all in 230 grain. It seem to me like the Remington ammo shot a little low. Other than that no problems with it. All in all it was a good shoot. I put about 170 rounds through it and the only real problem I found was my shooting skills need improvement (as always). The one thing Springfield didn't tell me about is how you get a free tattoo with your 45. The grip was imprinted on my hands. No I didn't have a death grip on it. I can see now why some people use tubes or other types of grips to improve the feel of the weapon. Another big plus is my Tac and my sub9 fit both the holsters I have (the Answer holster and the Blackhawk CQC Serpa). Guess I'm going to start reloading for 45 now. Here's a couple pic's...

That's about 40+ rounds fired. 15 landed outside the orange. My last target. Very windy day.

14 rounds of 45... I like it.

Thanks for shooting with me Heisman. It was a good day.

I shot at ASC today but their prices have doubled since I last shot there. Went from 7.00 a pistol to 13.00 a pistol. That sucks. I'm gonna keep going to my range above Bellville. 50.00 bucks a year and free targets. Take as many guns as you want to shoot, no extra charge. Guest shoot for free. Gonna go kick some ass on some bowling pins next time I go up there. Got em out in the garage.

The range charges you by the gun!? What a horrible, money gouging policy. I don't think I'd shoot there too often.

But that XD45T looks like the heat!! I'm definitely going to pick one up - my XD40T is getting lonely.
