WWB 1000 rounds xd9 Subcompact

After yesterdays range shooting I am happy to say that my xd 9 subcompact has functioned properly with no hiccups shooting with the preffered wwb 124grain fmjs. I had some dificulty at first hitting the center mass of the targets because of lazy limpwristing though that was corrected 100 rounds later when the shots were hitting home and a decent firing rythem and stance was made.

Other shooters gave disturbing looks(one was an IDPA shooter I think just from the way he talked) at my odd little xd9 sub compact but I let them know it wasn't a pop toy after launching a few slow well placed head shots.

Nothing really out of the ordinary with wwb 124 grain fmjs and my 9mm subbcompact, so far so good, no major malfunctions(FTEs FTFs)
to report. I'll have to upload some action shots of my xd9 for you guys soon when i catch some time.

Nice to read

It's always good to read that someone is proving the XDs are handguns that preform when needed. It's not going to be very long till you start seeing a lot of people shift from other handguns to the XD.

WWB 1000 rounds xd9 Subcompact

So did you really put 1000 rounds through your XD9 SC in one trip to the range? Maybe that's why "Other shooters gave disturbing looks."

Umm.. It is good to thoroughly coat the metal parts of a XD with oil before hitting the range, it helps with the overall functionality of the gun .

Now a total of 1100 rounds have been sent through my 9mm xdsub compact and there was a slight odd hiccup today at the range that is unexplainable at the moment(strange recoil probably limpwristing). When firing in my lane I noticed a young guy shooting with a very odd looking Savage superstriker of some sort along with a baby desert eagle. Seemed like a strange combination to take to the range and I should have asked him questions about his firearms but he disappeared before I was done with my first 50 9mm rounds. The carrying case for his guns looked like it had been through WW3
No pics of my XD in action yet sorry.

No rounds fired today or malfunctions with xd9mm today so all is well lol. I have been toying at the idea of shooting with Sellier and Bellot ammunition with my xd9mm because they are inexpensive and cheaper than my usual dirty wwb ammunition, perhaps even at a new range I that have been notified of from my cousin which supposedly has an awesome atmosphere compared to the somewhat drab florescent lighted lanes I am used to.

Well after shooting 200 rounds of wwb fmjs and a box of the Sellier and Bellot out at my local range I have no complaints, though the wwb has been keeping my XD 9mm dirty as usual. If Sellier and Bellot cartridges remain inexpensive I may consider switching brands permanently.

I decided to hit the range with my CZ 75 and xd .40 TAC and shoot about 300 rounds, both seemed to shoot any ammunition fed to them without any problems, no FTE's or FTF's to report which is always a good thing. Does anyone read these reports and know about http://www.ottawasportsmen.org/ ? Curious.
No pics yet sorry folks (haven't been bringing my camera to the range.) .
