Oni, Have you ever taken your XD apart? Yes, the slide release lever actually is a lever. You can see the powder crud built up on it in the picture. On yours you will want to clean it along with the rest of your gun. Take a close look at your XD with a powerful light. You will want to know how your XD looks so that you will notice when something looks wrong. Get to know your weapon inside and out.
