XD 9 first time out

I picked up my new XD 9 " service " and new Kimber " Custom target II " on the same day.
The Kimber performs as i would expect for the price. It is a very nice piece, no bones about it.

However, had I bought the XD 9 before the Kimber, I would be picking up an XD 45.

The night before I took them out I put about 100 snap caps through the XD 9 ( I read in these forums about the trigger taking a while to even out) . In just that few cycles I could feel the difference in the trigger action.
A few hundred rounds later and I am impressed. The XD shoots where you point it and the trigger has really smoothed out.

I don't think I have ever fired a more natural feeling hand gun.

I have never been a fan of 9mm ( have owned a few) and bought this for some local bowling pin shoots in the sub-auto class. can't wait to start knocking them down. The XD 9 is the best feeling/shooting 9 I have fired.
