xd9 range report

Took the 9 to the range today, fed it 100 rds of wwb fmj and 40 rounds gold dot. Functioned perfectly as usual; even fed rounds out of a magazine that I improperly assembled I was at an indoor range and the lighting wasn't so good, but I was shooting high. I would appreciate any of you gurus offering some tips on correcting the high groupings.
thanks

Most likely anticipating recoil. My son did this when he first started shooting my .45s cause the sound and kick scared him…wasn’t use to it. He’s cool with it now

The best common sense advice I got from this forum was effective and simple - get snap caps and dry-fire that baby until the trigger mechanism smooths out - it works!

Then the second best advice I got - get a professional trigger job performed by our sponsors:

http://www.pistolgear.com/pistolsmith.php

Their trigger work is awesome.

First of all never shoot when you are high lol could not resist, also if you are right handed and shooting high and to the left or right it is probably anticipating recoil, or high and to center breaking your wrist up ...let the gun do the work....
