NEW 1911A-1 S/S Mil-Spec ?????????
Couldn't help myself! Went to a local gunstore today and purchased a 1911A-1 Stainless Mil-Spec .45ACP. I stopped at the range before heading home to give it a good cleaning. My ole buddy was there and he couldn't wait to put a 7 rounds through it. So I wiped the bore with a couple patches and told him to have at it. He was useing WW white box 230gr Ball. It fired all 7 rounds into a pretty good group without a FTF/FTF or Eject. I brought it home and gave it a good cleaning and headed back with my reloads that I had worked up for my RUGER KP345. I ran appx 100 rounds through it without a hichup of any kind. I did find out that the factory sights have got to go. For target shooting and home defence. What is a good sight for this pistol and will the front sight have to be removed and dove tailed?
Thanks |
