XD Service 9mm range report described in one word: Fantastic
Hi All,
Today I went to the range for the first time with my XD, I was anxious a little bit because I read all these stories on the forum about shooting low and right, sights being off from the factory and so on. Long story short, my XD was flawless. Dead on accurate, the POA was 6 o'clock, from 25 feet that meant 1.5 " above my POA. I went through about 200 rounds of WWB and Remington and no FTEs, FTF at all, every single trigger pull went bang. I did not shoot a firearm since the military and I was expecting myself to be kind of rusty but the gun would not let me. Have a nice weekend everybody. |

Good luck tomorrow as well, may your poa remain true. I'm going to make it a point to post a range report after every trip if possible here on XD talk. (I need to work on alternating shooting styles, I keep forgetting the most accurate and safest stances. durr.)

Mine seemed to want to shoot low/left the first time I took it to the range. Rem-UMC 115 gr FMJ ammo. The second trip to the range, using 147 gr WWB JHP, it seemed to be right on, as it was with some 115 gr FMJ Blazer Brass. The Blazer stuff seemed to shoot the tightest groups.
The next time, I'm going to try the Rem-UMC stuff again. Perhaps it was just that I wasn't holding the gun properly.

Congrats TT! My new XD-40 SC also was dead nuts on NIB. Remember, the things you read on forums like this always blow any potential problems out of proportion mostly because people who don’t have issues don’t complain. Good luck today with your test.
