The area where the striker pops out and hits the primer. If you've put some rounds through your gun, you should see a brass outline of the bullet on the breech face.

Sorry for the late reply....

BTW.. mags are like new....

The polishing seems to have solved the problem. I say 'seems' because I only had about 40 rds of the Winchester white box ammo left for testing. I ran it through in 5 to 8 rds per magazine as the problem is/was with the next to last round.

I then switched to Magtech ammo and it functioned fine too. Ironically, my Witness .40 that digests WWB without fail, choked on the Magtech.

I'm hoping to get some more rounds down range this weekend but I've added another another variable.. I put a DGR and 18lb spring in the XD this week.
