need some advise.

been taking the 1911 (RIA 45 officers model) and the XD to the range.
XD i shot where i aim and do pretty good.

the 1911 i hit about 5 inches lower then where i aim. i shoot the same way with the XD as i do the 1911.

i know it is 2 diff guns and i am still trying to learn this 1911, but i need some advise.

I notice a tendency to shoot low on my 1911 too when I come back from my XD. What I found is with the guaranteed crisp 1911 break, I get the subconscious tendencies to jerk downward. Where as the XD kinda has a small creep which gets me the "surprise" fire and true shot. Not sure if this is any help, but something to think about.

You may need to adjust your finger placement on the trigger especially if your XD has the longer factory trigger.

thanks i am going to work on this. i am going to go shoot the 1911 alone and leave the XD off to the side. and just work on the 1911....it just pisses me off ya know. i am not saying i am awesome with the XD i am not. i just aim better and hit almost right to where i am aiming. then the 1911 comes up and nothing.
