I knew I was gonna get that. I wear glasses so I never think about eye protection as I've always got it. That, and some proper ear protection (ear-muff style) are at the top of our shopping list. Thanks for keeping me honest, pioneer

I've got about 1,000 rounds through my XD-9 now and I can say with utmost confidence that I trust this gun with my life. I'm going out of state tomorrow (SPRING BREAK!!!!...and I bet that when you were in school you thought only students looked forward to the breaks) and I'm gonna be confidently carrying my XD. In fact, I've been carrying it whenever I'm not at school or asleep, and I'm looking forward to using it against a skunk that's been hanging out around my place (gotta love living in the sticks).

'shepard, it sounds like you are getting the feel for the SC. Are you using the grip extension or just the pinky holder? I'm thinking of getting the XD9 4" service OD or the SC. The SC I tried felt much better with the grip extension. I really like the XD45 so I figured I'd pick up a 9mm as well. BTW, love your username, what kind of shepard do you have? Mine's a dark sable East German/Czech blood lines. She's a cutie.

Ahhh...what a beautiful picture... My guys are American lines..but not the over angulated show lines.. As far as the gun goes..I have the XD service so the grip is a full grip without the need of grip extension. I was at the range the other day and my accuracy is not consistent again. I just do not know what it is with this gun. I only fired a GLOCK once at the rental range and was so accurate with that gun...I kind of regret not getting it and I would loose too much to sell the XD so I will just keep the XD and try to keep getting better with it...and thanks for sharing the fine picture...
