3 Nov 09 Range Report and ?
Put 100 through the XD-9 SC
100 through the XD-40 SC and 150 through the XD-40 S I noticed that I am much more consistant with the 9 than either 40. I can also tell when it is time to rest a little. I start to pull down and left. Can anybody suggest something to help with this? Another thing, a RO said something that got me to wondering. Are .40's less accurate than other calibers? I did notice a tigher grouping of the 9 vs the .40 |

Technically 40 is slightly less accurate that 9, but unless you are really grouping them in there, I don't think that is significant at all / would cause the issues you are seeing. If you are shooting worse with the 40 it might be anticipation due to the snappier recoil / fatigue while shooting

I have an XD 9 S, an XDM40, and a XD 45 C as well as a S&W 4006 (40 S&W)...............I shoot both 40s less accurately than the 9 or 45. Putting a SS Guide Rod and 22# recoil spring in the XDM 40 did help with muzzle flip and gave me tighter groups.

I have a 9mm, 22LR and 45 ACP... I am actually the most accurate with 9mm, then 45 ACP, then my 22LR...
