me too! Though from what I am hearing all the issues with the gsg can usually be fixed by simply tightening the screws throughout.

We put a couple hundred rounds through it that evening and didn't have any issues with it at all.

Have you guys seen the youtube supressor video for the gsg5?
An ACOG on a gsg!? A fake one right? Lol a 800-2000 dollar optic on a 500 dollar plinker. hehehe. Though I could borrow my ar15's eotech sometime and put it on just for shits and giggles....

Working at a gun store I get to see what works and doesn't work first hand and from customers....

We have sent both the Colt and Smith ar22 models back with problems. Never has a GSG went back. I've owned the GSG and loved it. I still think a conversion kit for an AR is the best bang for the buck.

I picked up my GSG last night and put about 500 rounds threw it. Awesome fun and the looks from people at the range were classic. It was sure worth the 5 dollars fine for rapid firing... Everyone in my group was very accurate at 25 yards 3" groups; 20 rounds at a time.

I feel better about my $500.00 plinker purchase after last night.

When the GSG-5 came out I thought to myself, "I need to get one some day." I've been putting it off, but when I heard about the lawsuit I figured I'd better move it up the list. So... I ordered one yesterday.

I ordered the screw kit and 5 extra mags today!

People have been having screws come loose which leads to cracked bolt carriers, and said screws use a funky screwdriver to remove/replace. The screw kit is a set of high quality stainless hex-head screws and nuts that replace almost every screw in the GSG-5.

RRAGES.com GSG 5 Accessories - $12.50

The screws, pins and charging handle buffers seem to be the biggest bang-for-the-buck upgrades as far as reliability and longevity go on the GSG-5. All are available from the place I linked to above.

II actually ordered the screw kit and pins today with my magazines, but I have to hold off on ordering the charging handle buffer until my gun actually arrives. The buffers are specific to the generation of the GSG-5, and you can't tell which generation you have until you have the gun in your hands.

AR15.com has a HUGE thread (and a dedicated GSG-5 forum) that details all of the mods and even has a video posted that shows you how to do them.

I have 17,500 rounds of CCI Blazer .22LR and 5,000 or so Mini-Mags here for my other rimfires, but I plan on raiding a few Walmarts this weekend to buy them all out of the Federal Bulk Pack .22LR. The CCI is reported to work okay, but the Federal seems to be the GSG's favorite ammo.

Fun gun, i'm actually thinking about selling mine since I got my AR .22 conversion. The gsg does not like to be run wet. I've had good luck with federal bulk from walmart and cci mini-mags. I don't use the golden bullets in the gsg anymore. Too freakin dirty, hehe.. This gun is actually very accurate and I have no problems hitting small steel silhouttes rapid firing at 50 yards.
