New member range report
I don't have much to report, other than to say that I picked up a new XD9 last week and took it to our local indoor range to try it out. I didn't clean it or anything before shooting it, just checked to make sure there weren't any dirt dobber nests in the barrel or anything.
I put 100 rounds of Remington-UMC 115 gr, FMJ through the gun, along with 25 rounds of Rem-UMC 115 gr HP, without a bobble. All the bullets made holes in the paper as near as I could tell. It seemed to shoot a bit low, from 7 yards, but that might have been me, I'm not the best shot in the world. The recoil was a lot less than with my Kel-Tec P-11, but the XD is a much heavier gun so that's to be expected. Once I figured out where to hold, the holes started to appear cloes enough to where I wanted them too, that I could fool myself into thinking I was doing ok with it. Hope to get it back out again in a few days.
