how much time do you spend at the range?

Friday at the range I noticed during the course of my marathon 200 round session, I saw several people come I shoot two or three magazines and leave.
So lets say you are shooting solo how long do you spend?
The range I was at does not do a membership so everytime you shoot you have to pay a range fee. Doesnt seem worth $11 to walk in shoot two mags and leave? or does it?

I'll spend at least an hour... But a lot of that is playing with the .22. Will only shoot 50-100 rounds of .45/9mm per trip.

my "range" is in my back yard. Very safe from 7ft to 100 yards.

I would shoot a 1000 a day, if I had them to shoot. As it is, about 50 every other week.

Maybe when the reloading components come down out of the stratosphere in price and are more available. Then I can reload and not break the bank.

However, to actually get more proficient you are probably more effective shooting 10-20 rounds no more than 5 in a mag at a time. Taking care to monitor each and every shot for proper foot work, stance, hand and head position and especially finger work. After some number of shots, the attention wanders and you start shooting at "stuff" to see what it does when you hit it. Spray cans of silver paint are especially cool by the way...

Usually about a hour, Today I went to the outdoor range and spent about 3 hours.
Got a new scope on my Mosin Negant and had to play with it
The out door range is teh only one I can shoo the Military FMJ rounds.
All the others say there traps wont hold up to it.
Down side is that the range is $30 a day unless i get a membership which starts at $190 then $15 a day to shot.
Crap I need a better place to shoot.
The indoor ranges start at $8 a hour but pistol or 22 rifle only.

I try to go up to my outdoor range each weekend day and train with 50 rounds per day and try to do the same two or three times per week. I setup 2 to 4 USPSA targets and have at it. It takes a little time because I use a timer and tape after every run.

Had a training class today and blew through about 500 rounds through 6-7 hours...

I HATE 'normal' range time...too boring. I'd rather go to some training classes and learn something.

My cost just went down...and practice time will be going up! I just found out from the local sheriff's department that I can legally shoot on my property!! I just need to build a good dirt mound to shoot into.. Sweet!

I have a key for my indoor range and can go any time of the day or night.

I go once a week, usually at around 6AM and only stay for about a half hour (60 rounds or so).
