USPSA FIRST MATCH
Well I finally got out and did some practical shooting and loved it. Had one double feed with my XD 40 and that was probably limp wrist or thumbs on slide. Don't have my scores yet but had a really good time. I think I did fairly well and will speed up with time. I was mainly looking at each stage and trying to make sure I didnt forget about any targets and that I had a clean run. Ran four stages. one with 2 texas stars (boy those are hard). My last run I had a respectable time and a very clean run with all rounds hitting A except one and I think that was a C. Good time got a membership to the range and look forward to doing this every month. Shot about 200 rounds today with the stages and practice. I ran in the limited 10 division. Thanks to everyone on this site that does this type of shooting I decided to give it a try and thanks alot.

Way to go. I'm looking forward to getting in my first match as well. By the way, what holster/mag pouch setup are you using for USPSA?

right now I am just using my duty rig for the police academy. Which consists of a bianchi accumold holster and then I have the open bianchi mag holder and a flapped mag holder that I folded the flaps back on during the matches for faster access. I may upgrade to a faster holster later but right now I am doing this for the enjoyment and to become faster with my duty rig and more comfortable with what I will be using during the academy and my future LEO career.
