PVC Target Stand.. Pix Included...

Here's a target holder I build following the instructions found at Educational Zone #24 - Homemade Target Stand - Page 1. I made two changes though... I poured 2 quarts of Quickcrete concrete crack filler in the tubing to keep it from blowing over in the wind and I used 8" vertical tubes rather than 16" as he did in his... I figured less chance of them getting shot and they still hold the 1"x2" vertical with no problems... the concrete is taking awhile to set up but its on its way.... Including the Quickcrete I have about $25 in it...

I have been meaning to build something like that. Nice job, I'm thinking mine would be about twice as wide though.

I thought about going wider but this fits a IDPA target perfectly.... depending on how this works I may build a double with two target holders in one... The whole thing took about a half hour to build...

Thanks! This project has been on my to do list for a while now.

I hope to have one built before I take the gang out to the range again.

Thanks for the pics! I have ideas now......

Quikcrete!!!! What a great idea!! I made this exact stand but out of 1 1/4" pipe and with 16" ups. I was going to put sand in it but hadn't figured out how to plug the hole so the sand wouldn't leak out. Great idea and thanks.

Yep, I surprise myself sometimes.... It does take a while to set up though.... I figure by tomorrow it should be good to go...

Yep, the crack filler is liquid enough to self level.... Just squirt a quart in each upper opening and then set it on a level surface to set....
