Not trying to hijack, just show an alternate design.

I don't have one with me, but I built a similar holder out of (2) 4x4s and (2) 2x4s. I stapled a standard IDPA cardboad target on 2 furring strips so I could space the little inside wood pieces accordingly.

Is the opening wide enought to put a 2x2 to hold the target? I have beeen using 2x2 to built put a pain to transport. They are 6' tall. How tall do you make yours. After church I'm going to home depot to price it out.
