This appears to be a dead link from one-eyed-fatman.

Thanks for posting these targets. I was getting a little unsure of myself and my shooting since I bought a 45 because I was kind of all over the place. This target really helped me zero my shooting back in and find the right grip for shooting this beast. A little different than shooting a 9mm.

What differences have you noticed? I use 9mm, .40, and .45, and anything you've noticed might help my shooting, as well.

The main thing that I noticed is my grip. I have to hold with a little more grip strength. If I try to hold the 45 with the same amount of grip strength that I hold the 9mm with I experience a lot more recoil and my follow through isn't any good. I also found that a bunch of my rounds at first were hitting at the pulling/slapping the trigger section of the target. I have shot pistols for years in both the military and civilian world and I thought that I always pulled the trigger the same, which always gave me good center mass groups with a 9mm. I guess this tells me that the 9mm is more forgiving than a heavier caliber weapon like the 45. Just my opinion though.

To shoot as accurately with a 45 as I do with a 9mm or a 38 I will have to refine my shooting fundamentals.

Thanks guys for the targets. I will shoot at these during my first handgun session. I have always heard its easier to not start a bad habit than it is to get rid of one once it is there.

I am a new XD9 owner here and I am sure I will get great use out of these targets to help improve my shooting skills. I also had the same question as the person up a few slots, are you guys printing these things on special printers/paper or just a regular laserjet and 8.5x11?

BTW Loving the XD!!

8.5 X 11 is letter size. That's what Dave said, "letter size".
