I bought an "Answer" from Tucker about 3 1/2 years ago for my G23. I don't carry every single day, but the fact that I don't, and then will put it on after not wearing it for a while; it is very comfortable and I almost forget that it is there after a short time. Very high quality and a pleasure to wear. If I recall, I didn't have much of a wait time to get the holster back in 2005. It was for a very popular gun, the G23 and I needed a left-handed holster. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the "Answer".

Thanks again Rob.

Vernon

Thanks, Vernon.

Since you brought up the lead time, Tucker has help now and our wait time for IWB's has shrunk from 4 months to 6 weeks.

One other addition is the option to leather-line the kydex side of the Answer with thin, smooth cowhide.

I've had the opportunity to examine and test, first hand, the Answer, the SuperTuck, the MTAC, the Tennesse Holster Company products.

With respect to the "hybrid" models, the nod goes to the Answer. If one does some research, you'll find a great deal of satisfied customers who have this holster. The quality, i.e., leather, kydex, finish, function, far exceeds the other knock-offs. Quality of material utilized lends to durability and function. The general rule in the custom holster busines is if you're going to copy another maker's design, you make it better. That's not been the case with any of these holsters.

Can you get the knock-offs sooner? Yes, but does that make it worth it in the end? Not in my opinion. I fully understand the economics of the choices as well.

My recommendation is the Answer by Tucker Gunleather.

Thank you. I appreciate your taking the time to post. A generous start to the new year, indeed. Both of us will have a busy year despite the talk of economic downturn. Quality is always in demand.
