Galco X-project Shoulder Harness
Ive started wearing vests and because of this I have been contemplating new carry options other than my IWB and was looking at shoulder harnesses and saw the Galco X-project. I havent been able to find anyone who has one/any reviews. does anyone have any expierience with this harness? or any other recomendations for comfortable CC options other than IWB?

I'll tell you in a couple of days
I just ordered one for my 45/9. I have been on the fence about if for several months. I have no intention of using it "through" a shirt but to keep the entire system under my shirt. I like the free shipping and the return policy.
Stay tuned. Cliff |

I'd also like to know if it fits the .45 well enough (according to the site it fits the 9 and 40, no mention of 45)

the XD 9 and 45 are virtually the same size.
I'm hoping that the holster fits both the 9 and 45. That is the main reason I went with this model. We shall see.

Weekend Test wear
So, I got the X-Project for my XD on Wednesday. Couldn't really try it out till this weekend. I was very impressed with the way the weight of the 45 ACP is distributed by the harness. I have used a Confident Undershirt which works well but the entire weight of the 45 hangs under the arm. With the harness the weight is distributed more evenly. Plus the retention designed into the holster is excellent.
I'm hoping Galco offers additional holsters for this system, I'd love one for my Sig P-245 and even the little Kel-tec P-11 I have. Over all, very happy with the price and the fit. |
