Any concern about voiding warranties?

When adding after-market parts or altering your XD without going through SA you void your warranty... anyone else have this concern?

I think it works kind of like modifying a car. If the part you replace fails then you are SOL unless the person who provided that part has their own warranty. If the failure is due to something that's original to the gun I think it will still be covered.
