In February I purchased a set of TFO's for my duty weapon, had them installed all is good. Went out shooting today and noticed that my front sight was... weird. cleared the pistol removed the slide and noticed that my front sight is loose in the housing. It is not setting in the hole in the back of the sight. (where you see the sight)
has anyone else had this type of problem?

I do love my TFOs but it seems that this problem is becoming more and more of a regular problem.I had the TFOs taken off my primary carry weapon (XD40SC) and had Trijicons installed.I didn't have any problems but don't like the thought that I might when I need them most.Just can't afford that. I hope TRUGLO addresses this more and more common problem.Other than that they are great sights.

I have sent an e-mail to truglo, with the weekend and all I am sure I will see an e-mail from them on Monday. I will post the reply.
If I get a chance today I will take a picture and post it.

I was going to go with TruGlo until I read enough of these problems that I decided to get Trijicon instead.
TruGlo is a nice idea and they look awesome. I love the use of fiber optic and Tritium for good glow at any type of light, but I simply cannot overlook a quality control issue. You shouldnt have to "fix" something you paid good money for. Maybe this has happened enough that TruGlo will do something about it and make their sights hold up as they should.

I put TFOs on my XD (a range gun and at the time, daily carry) knowing about previous issues people had experienced; a light coat of clear fingernail polish on the sights locks them into place nicely without affecting sight picture.

Yes, the damned front fibers come out unless kept away from all solvents or applied with extra adhesive. But they are beautimous for fast sighting...
