After seeing a thread from Reeek I made the decision to order the K&D Dakota holster. That thing is a piece of work. Beautiful craftsmanship! I cant wait. Thanks to Reeek for postong those pics which helped me decide and to K&D for their response to my questions.

I have about 5 weeks left of the 16 week wait.

It's worth the wait. Last month I received my second KD Dakota for my
1911 Government. Wore it for a week in Maine and did not even know I
had it on. Agree with you that the workmanship is outstanding. Good luck
with yours.

Good choice for sure. What pistol will you be carrying in it? The wait feels longer than the posted wait time but mine came right when it was supposed to. The best thing you can do is try your best to forget about it until it shows up.

I have three K&D holsters and they are all right up there in the super holster class.

Ill be carrying MY XD40sc. Im going to end up with a Desantis Cozy Partner also. I canceled the order too late from a guy and it should be coming soon. I compared pics of your gun in the K&D and a photo I found of an XD with the Crimson Trace and photo-shopped it . Looks like it will fit fine if I decide to get the laser. Ill have the Cozy Partner to use until mY Dakota shows up. Then Ill try to sell it later. Thanks again for your help Reeek.

I am the new guy on the list. I am almost 4 weeks into the waiting period for my K&D Dakota Defender. It sure is a long time to wait for a holster, but from what I have read it will be worth it!!!
