I tried the 5.11 dress belt also. I really liked it, except for their fooked up sizing.

For them, M = 32-34 inches, and L = 36-38 inches. I wear a 34 OWB and a 36 IWB. So the M is too small when carrying IWB, and just right OWB.
The L has way too much slack when carrying OWB, but is just right when IWB.

If they had a 34-36 model, that'd be perfect. /end rant

Sorry to hijack. Anyway, for $30.00, it's probably one of the better dress gun belts you can find.

Do not waste your money on the Boston Leather belt. After a year it is garbage. I am ordering a Beltman belt next week. That looks to be the best deal out there.

I'm looking at the 5.11 on-line. Definitely not dressy enough for wearing with a suit. Khakis in a business casual atmosphere, maybe. The Beltman stuff is even less so... perhaps good with jeans, etc.

And the 5.11 has poor reviews here: Reviews for 5.11 Leather Casual Belt 1.5 Plain 59501 - View or add your review!

I found a really heavy, 1.5" leather belt at the Dollar Store for $5 that has worked great. Not as well as the Wilderness 5 stitch I use for IDPA though. Just didn't follow the advice Wilderness gave me, so I can't use it with my IWB.

I agree. Rafter S. or The Beltman. I give the edge to Rafter, but both are good belts.

I bought a 1.5" Kydex-lined leather gun belt from Comp-Tac for approximately $90 (shipped) and, like other products of theirs that I own, I've been very pleased with it.

Rafter, Beltman, & Aker...
Top 3 "Best Buys" in leather gun belts.

Those who say you do not need a real gun belt, have usually never tried a real gun belt.....do you really want to trust someone that does not know what they are talking about...?
