I had TFOs on my XD 40SC, shot less than 500 rounds with no problems with the sights. After reading about others having this problem I sent my slide to Tripp's to be hard chromed and bought some Trijicons sent them to Tripp's to change the TFOs and then reinstall the Trijicons after the hard chrome job.I only did it because the 40 SC is my primary carry weapon and didn't want the sights going to pieces when I needed them most. Still have them on my XD45C and intend to keep using them until I have a problem. So far the TFOs have served me well.

This appears to be a potential problem for TRUGLO as my front TFO sight fell out today as well. While it looks like it just fell out, it did snap the insert. You can see part of it still inside the metal housing of the front sight and the insert doesn't glow in the dark anymore. I had maybe 300 rounds through my XD Compact .40 before this happened so I'm not very happy.

For those who have had problems, how did you end up handling the issue? TRUGLO says if it is a warranty item then you can just return it to the dealer. They are just going to then return them to TRUGLO so I'd just soon have TRUGLO deal with it directly. I called them and had to leave a message? No call back 7 hours later. I'll give them another day but so far my experience with TRUGLO hasn't been stellar.

For those with Trijicon Tritium sights, I have some on my H&K USP .45 and also had them on a former Glock 19 and both sets were flawless.
