Comp-tac Spartan IWB, what a surprise

I am liking this holster more and more each day. Forgive the Glock30sf inside, I am planning on getting one for my XD45. There are other holsters similiar in design but IMHO nothing competes with the quality of workmanship, price and comfort of this inexpensive IWB. I had mine in less than 2 weeks and it's a lefty.

I can't wait to get one to replace my CrossBreed SuperTuck.

What's the main difference between this and the MTAC? They both look pretty much the same????? I'm about to go to bed and don't have my MTAC to look at right off hand but they sure look the same. Great holster!

I am trying to decide betrween a comp-tac minataur/spartan and a cross breed. I dont like having to wait a month for my holster, but the crossbreed is cheaper.

can the comp-tac's be as highly recommended as the cross breeds?

Ok, did a quick research to answer my own questions... The difference between the spartan and Mtac is the spartan is missing the backing pieces of leather to keep the fastners off your skin. I purchased the MTAC over the cross breed so that I would have the extra piece of leather. I got the holster in less than a week from order to my door.

It seems like hte cross breed and spartan are pretty much identical in design idea other than the part that holds the gun being slightly different.

My vote - MTAC. Wanting to save money and get it now? Spartan.

The MTAC for comparision purposes:

I think with these two holsters (the MTAC and the Spartan), Comp-tac pretty much has its bases covered. Kind of like the Fender Telecaster and the Stratocaster.

My MTAC came with a piece of Moleskin type material, self-adhesive backing (not leather).
I decided to try it without this Moleskin. Still haven't added it, as neither the suede, nor the little fastener hdwe, bothers me in the least. Can wear it all day, and most of the night w/o any problems...(hate I can't sleep with it sometimes tho... )

I wear both my MTAC and Spartan against bare skin. No problems whatsoever. I especially like the new clips. They really lock on.

kraigster414,

What style clips?
I got the "C" type that hooks behind my 1.5" Gunbelt, and they are almost unnoticable, tho I really don't "tuck" very often.
