I want something that will work for my SC and Service model XDs. What makes the fit of the Hogue so bad on the SCs?
Although the grip may seem identical they are not, keep in mind I was using the 45 and the 9 to apply the grips. The slimmer profile creates alot of extra material around the rear of the grip near the safety. I immediately decided to pull it off even though I like the look. Any pressure from my hand caused discomfort and a less secure grip (like a rubber "bubble" towards the top rear portion. I don't think anything is universal. I would recommend Pachmyr for the SC (requires no trimming). And HIGHLY recommend the hogue on service.

I'd rather have my XD and not need it, then need it and not have it....

I can atest to what he is saying about the sc grip with the hogue grip, I just bought one and I can't get it to fit right without the "bubble" at the top of the grip so I'm either gonna return this one or if someone wants to make me a reasonable offer here...
