finally found a great holster !!!!

i can know officially say i have a drawer dedicated to holsters.........it took me a year to find a nice holster that i love and a great belt.........

before i tell you what holster im in love with, these are the holsters i tried in order to find the perfect one..........a xd gear paddle, crossbreed supertuck, DH JIT SLIDE, and a uncle mikes nylon IWB.........

I tried the IWB and OWB, and can tell you for a pretty big guy i did not like the IWB........though i did find the uncle mikes more comfortable than the crossbreed........

as for the OWB holsters, i truly found myself wearing the xd gear paddle very frequently, more than the JIT.......only drawback was the weapon sat far from my side and i always felt as though i was printing even though i wasnt.........

as for the best combination of holster and belt, i found........... THE WILDERNESS INSTRUCTOR BELT 1-1/2 With THE Combat Shooters Model (C.S.M.) polyethylene insert and THE WILD BILLS CONCEALMENT Contour Belt Slide w/ fbi cant the best combination for myself...............

i hope this helps others in their mission to find the best holster combination............

Do you have the website for this setup? I'm trying to find a new holster myself.

So, loving to OWB carry better than I do IWB, I've discovered that I'm having difficulty not printing using loose fitting clothing. Does OWB automatically require a jacket of some kind?

You will have to make adjustments to the way you dress if you want to conceal a handgun IWB or OWB.

Yep, my wardrobe covers a IWB setup pretty easy without printing too bad. However, I did bend over to get a coke out of a cooler at a family function and was "spotted" by my uncle. I've just not found a OWB that I can conceal without wearing a jacket.

What kind of holster? Wearing the Blackhawk Serpa (I love it, BTW) the gun sticks out too far for any of the shirts to hide it no matter how large.

I recently got an alligator skin holster from The Holster Store. Excellent quality at a great price.
