Crossbreed Super Tuck/K&D Dakota Defender for A-IWB?
Do holsters of this type lend themselves to appendix IWB-carry? If not, which holsters work with both, regular 16:00 AND A-IWB-carry?
Thanks in advance! |

While our Dakota Defender will adjust to cant, it is my opinion that our Maverick Defender will do a better job in the appendix carry position (as well as the other).

From the CrossBreed lineup, you will find the QwikClip more suited to AIWB
thanks

My personal opinion is that for an appendix IWB-carry you will need to trim of the lower portion of the leather back as it tends to press against your leg when sitting. I have both holsters and really don't think either are ideal for appendix IWB-carry. As simple as it sounds I have found that a good belly band holster works best for this. Make sure it is one with stiff elastic because carrying in this position tends to force the grip outward making it print more easily.

The Crossbreed's simple design lets you trim the leather backing piece and/or the clips so *you* can make it fit better. Wear it for a few weeks or months before cutting just to be sure.
